We translated the interplay of angularity and softness in UOOYAA’s seasonal garments into a refined architectural language through a careful study of them. This balance is expressed through two distinct corner details, each of which embodies either hardness or softness, reflecting the essence of the brand’s designs.
Based on the idea of 'becoming one's own model', the store challenges the traditional distinction between customers and mannequins. Rather than passively observing, shoppers are encouraged to actively engage with the space through integrated features such as catwalks, floor mirrors, and curated lighting. This immersive experience enhances self-expression and confidence, strengthening the store’s identity and fostering a dynamic, interactive retail environment.

02”COCOON” Pavilion
Urban Furniture
2022
Singapore
Designed by Cris Liu during his time at BIG, the "COCOON" Resting Pavilions are located within the 3D oasis of CapitaSpring Tower in Singapore — the second tallest tower completed by BIG in 2022.
Each pavilion consists of two overlapping layers of white metal tubes, creating an intimate space suitable for both solitude and social gatherings. The interplay of these layers produces a dynamic visual effect where light and shadow continuously shift, creating a sense of movement within the space.
While there are no official photos of the pavilions, they have been well documented on social media. Thank you to everyone who has shared their photos and captured these spaces in use!

03UOOYAA Event
Installation
2021Shanghai, China
This interior design project transforms an existing gallery space in Shanghai into a venue for a one-day UOOYAA event exploring the themes of softness and power.
Taking inspiration from nature, where water both shapes and is shaped by stone, the concept takes form in the form of a reflective stainless steel platform. Extending towards the gallery's two skylights, the platform creates an engaging space for visitors to explore and interact with.
